Paris, 28 May 2024 - As the leader in trusted cloud services, Cloud Temple is laying an essential foundation for digital sovereignty with the launch of the first SecNumCloud-qualified PaaS offering on the French market. Companies and public sector bodies can now accelerate innovation without compromising the security and sovereignty of their data.
Removing the brakes on sovereignty
In 2023, digital and electronics will account for a €20 billion trade deficit for France, or one fifth of the overall deficit. A figure that has been growing by 17% since 2019. At a time when all eyes are on AI, rebalancing this trade balance is vital to strengthening the sovereignty of the French economy. The need to regain control of IT tools is more pressing than ever. But how can we do this?
The priority is to enhance the secure and sovereign cloud offering, described as "trusted" by ANSSI. The key to achieving this is PaaS (Platform as a Service): a set of cloud functionalities that can support more digital transformation projects and facilitate application development, while reducing their carbon footprint. By integrating Red Hat's OpenShift technology into its platform, Cloud Temple is taking the trusted cloud to the next level.
An unprecedented SecNumCloud qualification
On 24 May, the ANSSI awarded SecNumCloud qualification to Cloud Temple's Openshift PaaS services, two years after its IaaS offering was qualified. This is a first in France, and part of an ambitious roadmap. Thanks to significant investment in the foundations of its platform, the French cloud provider is now developing open, eco-responsible technologies that will help it to become more independent. These will give customers access to natively interoperable industrial IaaS and PaaS cloud services, available in two European regions, end-to-end control of the data cycle and the ability to take advantage of AI capabilities within a secure framework.
With its trusted PaaS, Cloud Temple provides an essential technological component for all businesses and public sector organisations that need to reconcile security and innovation. Announced a year ago, this new deployment is part of a major ambition. We are now in a position to accelerate the development of our product catalogue, in line with the best cybersecurity practices established by ANSSI. Our aim is clear: to rapidly build a European alternative to hyperscalers.
