Mission statement:
As a Cloud Sustainability Engineer, you will be responsible for :
- Design and implement strategies to reduce the carbon footprint of our cloud infrastructures
- Represent Cloud Temple as a spokesperson on sustainability issues in the cloud sector
- To be the Product Owner for sustainability metrology and decision-support tools.
- Cross-functional management of eco-responsibility initiatives (responsible purchasing, equipment recycling, energy optimisation, etc.)
- Develop tools and methodologies to help our customers measure and optimise their environmental impact.
- Working with technical teams to integrate sustainable practices into our products and services.
- Keeping a technological watch on sustainable cloud innovations
SKILLS REQUIRED:
With an engineering background, specialising in sustainable development or energy efficiency, you will have significant experience in the cloud computing sector.
You are passionate about environmental issues and have a strong ability to innovate and drive change. You are independent, meticulous and have excellent organisational skills. Your interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team are widely recognised. Adaptability to rapid changes in the cloud industry is essential.
You must be able to communicate effectively in French and English, both written and spoken.
Expected experience3 years in development, cloud, sustainability, CSR
Technical skills :
- Mastery of cloud technologies (VMware, Xen, RedHat OpenShift, IBM, CISCO, Dell, etc.)
- Expertise in energy efficiency for data centres and IT infrastructures
- In-depth knowledge of sustainability metrics and standards (PUE, CUE, WUE, etc.)
- Skills in data analysis and dashboard development
- Experience in Agile project management (Scrum, Kanban)
- Understanding the principles of Green Software Engineering
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Tools to master :
- Programming languages: Python, Bash, Go
- Cloud: VMware, Xen, Terraform, Ansible
- Monitoring and analysis tools: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, VictoriaMetrics, OpenTelemetry
- Project management: Gitlab, Github, Confluence
