Job description

Working as part of an operations team and reporting to the Operations Team Leader, you will be responsible for the stability and quality of the service provided to one of our key account customers, working in a demanding environment in terms of security and availability. You will also be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance and evolution of the customer's cloud applications and services.

Missions 

The SRE Cloud Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining the various Products within the scope of the application, in collaboration with the other members of the team.

Your main tasks are as follows:

Development: Building and upgrading the company's cloud infrastructure

  • Implementing changes to the DCP foundation and enhancing the DCP service offering to support the Cloud requirements of major transformation programmes
  • Support application development teams to facilitate the use and adoption of DCP platforms and anticipate new requirements
  • Monitor developments in AWS services and propose changes to the technological base

Security: Taking security aspects into account throughout the service lifecycle

  • Improve Cloud compliance in accordance with the rules defined with the Security team
  • Implement changes to the security components of the DCP service catalogue

Ops: Contribute day after day to improving the reliability and availability of services

  • Maintain the operational readiness and reliability of the production of services managed by DCP in order to guarantee an optimum level of service

Finops: Ensuring the financial optimisation of Cloud infrastructures

  • Facilitate cost monitoring, propose and implement actions to optimise Cloud consumption as part of a FINOPS approach
Profile required

Level of qualifications :

Bac +5 Engineering school or university equivalent

Level of experience :

  • You will have at least 5 years' successful experience in the following areas:
    Cloud engineering,
  • DevOps/SRE engineering,
  • Deployment and maintenance of Cloud services with a high level of industrialisation, automation, quality and infrastructure availability.
  • Application development with a strong appetite for Cloud issues and automation

Ideally, you will have gained this experience in the banking sector within a financing organisation.

Technical skills : 

Mastery of the main AWS services

  • Compute : EC2 / Lambda
  • Database : RDS / Redis
  • Storage: S3
  • Network: Mail order / Route53 / Direct Connect
  • Content Delivery: CloudFront
  • Messaging: SNS / SQS / SES
  • Security: IAM, KMS

Experience in developing and deploying Infrastructure As Code

  • CI/CD: Git, Gitlab, Gitlab CI
  • Languages: Python, Bash, Go
  • Infra as Code : Terraform, Helm

Solid knowledge of infrastructure and security

  • Operating systems : Linux
  • Secrets management: Vault
  • Authorisation and clearance management: IAM

Experience with runtime environments for containerised applications based on APIs and microservices

  • Container orchestration: Kubernetes / EKS
  • API management : Kong
  • Mesh service: Consul Connect

Good knowledge of DEVOPS concepts, particularly with regard to observability and resilience (SRE approach)

  • Monitoring & Supervision: Prometheus/Grafana/CloudWatch
  • Log management: Elasticsearch/Kibana

Experience or interest in Scrum-type Agile methods

Language skills : 

Fluency in written and spoken English and French.
