The Production Engineer works in a Service Centre, as part of a team of engineers. Their role is mainly focused on the operational phase (run): resolving incidents and problems, and managing changes. Depending on their level of expertise, they may also be involved in the architecture (design) and deployment (build) phases.
MISSIONS
- Administer and maintain infrastructures with high availability constraints
- Diagnose, resolve and analyse incidents (N2+ and N3)
- Participate in migration or integration projects
- Drafting technical documentation (DAT, DEX)
- Contribute your ability to think and analyse medium to complex architectures
- Be a driving force behind proposals to improve the quality of the service provided
- In-house consultancy and cross-functional activities
- Helping to quantify project workloads
- Be able to advise a technical or non-technical contact on IS components
- Translate functional requirements into technical architecture
- Provide support or training for recurring actions
- Take steps to industrialise, standardise and automate recurring procedures (or actions)
Job requirements:
- Level of training required: bac +4 minimum
- Desired level of experience: 5 years
Skills required :
- Linux: Mastery of major Linux distributions: Redhat, Ubuntu, Centos
- Scripts: Python, Shell
- Automation: Puppet, Chef or Salt appreciated
- Infra as code :Terraform, Ansible, git
- Virtualisation: VMware
- Safety :Fortinet firewall, proxy and reverse proxy, antivirus (McAfee, Sophos, etc.)
- Network: Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networks is required
